This unit we did painting with either water color or acrylic, I decided to do acrylic because I believed that it would be easier and a more efficient way to make the colors blend and look more faded out. I did have some trouble doing this because I originally had a plan to put an owl coming in through the sky, but it just didn't look right when I tried it out so I just decided to do this instead. It didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would. I learned mostly that painting is not easy, you have to practice a lot if you want to get it right, and also not everything will turn out the way you want it to, but you just have to keep trying.

This was my most successful art work during this unit, because it was the only art work that I did do this unit and also I worked super hard on it. It also showed that I have the potential to step out of my comfort zone which is making things to look like other things, and I also had a lot of fun having people come up to me and being amazed at my work, it just felt so amazing. I learned during this that, it's okay to have different idea's than other people, and to step outside of the box, I also learned you can never go wrong with some fair lights in an installation piece.
This was the art piece that was most successful in this unit. I decided that I would continue stepping out of my comfort zone, while everyone else made pumpkins or clay tiles, I wanted to incorporate more of Day of the Dead this halloween and made Satan's head. I learned by making it, you have to make proportions even and exact, also adding texture and the right colors can make it shine and look very professional. With the horns it was that texture that I believe sold my art piece so well. A funny thing happened when I showed my mom this piece, she couldn't stop touching the pointy chin which just made me even more proud of myself.
The most successful art work that I did during this unit was definitely the wolf. The oil pastel was so easy to blend and control to make the Aura, and the wolf stand out, also again, people kept coming around to see what I was doing and saying I was doing a great job, which always feels amazing. I learned that with the right colors and the right techniques for oil pastel you can control it easily and get the right kind of combination of colors that you want. Transgender Cyberbullying67%of transgender peopl have been bullied online since 2011. The article I read talks about how cyberbullying victimized children in their own home. They can't escape that kind of abuse when kids want to get away and be online to just be themselves they can't achieve that. Bullying these kids pushes them to the edge where they become depressed, attempt suicide, abuse illegal drugs, and many more worse things than that. This is personal to me because I've been bullied before so many times. I'm 8th grade I decided that I would cut off my hair to a pixie cut because I wanted to see what I would look like with a boy styled hair cut. Then one day a guy comes up to me and asked if I was a boy because he couldn't tell. It hurt badly, and it made me think that other people perceived me as a boy when I wasn't. I did this art because I want people to know that people get bullied for who they want to be and that words online hurt more than words out loud. No one should be bullied for who they want to be.

My theme for my project was to do figures representing the different genres of books, fantasy, horror, and science fiction. I decided to do this because there is no real face or way to picture these genres of books so I wanted to make a specific look for them. It means to me that I can now have a clear image as to what fantasy looks like or any other book to get people more interested in reading. I incorporated the theme into my art works by making clay figures with different examples as to what is in those books. I selected the media by trying something different and doing something more abstract. I did experience the challenge of waiting for the art work to be done and that was very difficult. I resolved it by working fast and keeping track of time. I feel awesome about my final works and they're exactly how I pictured them to be, they show my ability to choose color concept and how to paint. I didn't think my painting skills were 100% good but as I've been in this class they've gotten a lot better and these final pieces show it.
