I came up with this idea, from just thinking about what is something maybe no one else would have done. An empty frame reflecting my artwork from before I started taking art classes and have each one a different color. It's also very important to me because these pieces of art are the reason why I started taking art classes inside and outside of school. The benefits of planning/sketching/ and practice of doing this piece is to try and get the angels which was very difficult and getting the right scale of how big I wanted the pictures to be. It's always a good thing to sketch out your pieces of art before starting on the actual art project so that you can test out what you actually want or want to change if you don't like a certain element of the piece.

There were many obstacles with this project for me because, I had a hard time blending the colors till I finally got the hang of it. It was also challenging with the angles and trying to put the frame over some of the pictures. Also the reflection was very complicated to do, because I had to either color lightly or erase and it wouldn't look like a proper prisma if I did just the erasing technique so instead I tried blending the colors together, the colors of the reflection, and the colors of the piece it was reflecting over. The successes were that I found great colors that go well together and blend to be really creative looking, I got to recreate some of my favorite art pieces, and I had a lot of fun doing this project and finding different colors.

I think I do have a lot more to learn with using prisma colors, how to blend them effectively and what colors really go well together and which colors don't go together. I've gained a better understanding of the material, and I've definitely grown in creativity, because I never would have thought about doing something like this without a bit of thought on something that no one has ever really done before. The one thing I would do differently is maybe make the coy fish a bit more blended and looking more like a reflection than a 5 year old's drawing, but other than that I really love this piece, even though it's not like high quality, I still love the creativity I put into it.
